The video below provides a good overview of how this little bionic buddy may fit into a home environment. The additional video at the bottom was included for my own amusement as, for some reason watching a couple of synthetic human cuboids gossip away in Russian made me giggle.
The thing I find most impressive about the Cubic is that it can not only interact with social data, but it can also utilize data from home automation devices such as Nest and Hue as well as from wearable fitness trackers such as FitBit and Jawbone.
The Cubic set will include a Home Cube, Power Badge, and two smart sockets. It will retail for around $450 (£286), but those that order now can save $200, if they pre-order and select the early bird special (providing it's still available). International shipping is available for an additional fee, when the device comes to market in Nov 2015 (estimated delivery date).
