Their device, called the Thingsee, is ruggedized and waterproofed so can be used outdoors. It features a 1,900 mAh battery and a monochrome display as well as 2G GPRS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a pressure sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, light sensor, and gyroscope. The Thingsee can, therefore sense movement, light, temperature and moisture.
Developers will be able to configure the device via Haltian's mobile app (Android or iOS) so that it can be used to test business ideas and business processes before dedicated hardware and software is needed. The Thingsee is expected to cost around $150, available April 2015.
