Posted By Simon Montford on Nov 14, 2014 Only the Charge is available to purchase ($130). The HR and Surge will become available first quarter of 2015. The Charge is very similar to the Fitbit Force which was withdrawn from sale earlier this year due to some customers complaining that it caused a skin allergy. A big improvement compared to previous models, is that there is no longer a need to remove a section of the device to sync or charge it. Instead the new model syncs directly to the cloud wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0 (non-compatible mobiles will need to sync via the provided USB dongle). The Charge performs the usual functions (steps, distance, calories, floors climbed, strenuous activity and sleep. It also has a stopwatch and even tells the time!
