Pulse Play is a social scorekeeping, and ranking system for racket players. It is aimed at amateurs because they often don't have anyone impartial to keep score, which can result in disagreements, or even arguments during a friendly game of tennis, squash, badminton, or table tennis. If you're a fan of racket sports, then I'm sure you'll be able to relate.
The wearable device, not only keeps score, but it can also be set to make announcements during the game (there are fifty different voices to choose from)!
Data gathered during play is uploaded to the cloud via the accompanying app, so you can compare your scores with friends, and if you opt in, be ranked alongside other Pulse Play owners.
The company plans to create a global amateur championship, and build a social network that will help players find others of a similar standard within their location.
The product is still under development, but the team are confident that if you pre-order the "Early Bird deal" now on Indiegogo, you should receive a Pulse Play by the US Open, which takes place in August/Sept.
The standard pre-order price is $75 (£49), and international shipping will be offered for an additional $25 (£16). The estimated shipping date is October 2015, unless as previously mentioned, you are one of the lucky few who are able to snag the Early Bird deal, which offers Sept shipping, and costs only $50 (£33).
