The Yoga SmartMat provides guidance to enable the user to strike all the right poses (voguing is optional). Yoga is all about balance and core strength so posture is paramount. According to the makers we all have a hard time balancing when we need to stay still and composed. This is why Yoga teachers constantly adjust students during Yoga sessions.
The SmartMat attempts to do the exact same thing. After the initial measurements are completed, SmartMat then takes you through a series of "baseline" poses. This is to determine what your individual abilities and limitations are. For example, in Downward Dog some can place their heels on the ground. For others, this option is just not available. SmartMat will learn these things about you and your practice in the baseline calibration setting so that it can give you intelligent and practical feedback during the heat of your sessions. The SmartMat is ideal if you want to practice yoga at home. It's not just people who love yoga, pets do too or maybe they just love annoying their owners.
