Posted By Simon Montford on Nov 24, 2014 With the popularity of AirBnB and other home rental websites, this product makes a lot of sense. The Lock-Bot enables home owners to place their house keys into a secure capsule that can either be wall-mounted via a bracket or attached to a rail or door handle via a reinforced cable. The Lock-Bot works by connecting to the home owner's wi-fi signal, and allowing the home owner to allocate access codes to users. The system sends a code that is embedded with a text message along with a link to a mobile web page. The user then inputs their code to open the Lock-Bot. The system sends alerts and keeps a record of every time the Lock-Bot is opened. Although incredibly helpful, it would be every home owner's nightmare if their Lock-Bot became hacked, breached or removed!
