Posted By Simon Montford on Oct 27, 2014 Pod, about the size of a wine cork, attaches to your pet's collar and lets you instantly locate your animal from your phone as well as track their activity and fitness levels. Pod uses GPS technology which has strong coverage all over the world so you can find your pet in another state or even country - not like other tracking devices that rely on Bluetooth, which needs to be nearby to locate your pet. The company behind Pod is working to provide SIM cards which will work for the first 12 months of usage then there will be an additional annual fee.
Pod's campaign on Indiegogo is about to end but they have smashed their target so it looks like Pod will go into production. Pre-order: Indiegogo Subscribe to our newsletter and you’ll receive product updates as well as the latest IOT news delivered straight to your inbox. |
