Posted By Simon Montford on Dec 13, 2014 There's an overwhelming number of smartwatches and fitness bands available to purchase. Startups that fail to offer something unique and really useful will almost certainly fail. As far as consumers are concerned "Me too" products, no matter how good they look, just won't cut it. The Uno, not only looks good, but also offers some really useful time-saving features so it's hardly surprising that it's generated a significant amount of interest on Indiegogo. Uno aims to offer speed and convenience by removing the time and hassle it takes to rummage around for your phone, unlock your screen and scroll through notifications, emails, and text messages. It does this by pushing notifications to your wrist. On average people view their phones 150 times per day, so that's a lot of time that could potentially be saved by Uno. Furthermore, Uno uses a new technology called "Spritz", which enables the user to speed read notifications, up to 3x faster (you can adjust the speed via the Uno app). Uno delivers notifications from not just social platforms like Facebook and Twitter, but also gaming platforms such as Xbox, Steam and Playstation. The Uno uses a simple OLED display that is bright and very easy to read. It also lasts several days between charges, compared to smartwatches that need to be charged daily. Still not convinced? Well it also claims to be one of the most accurate fitness trackers, compatible with both Apple Health and Google Fit.
